I just wish the people at the top didn’t so quickly forget what it’s like to be where I am.

I’ve had some really down to earth bosses who worked up from the bottom and appreciated what they had. But also some total dickheads. Just varies I guess. The two wealthiest bosses I’ve had were also the most compassionate oddly.

Maybe a more compassionate boss leads to a happier, more efficient workforce? That whole catch more flies with honey than vinegar approach.

This is definitely true, but not everyone who reaches management realises it.

I’ve been lucky enough to have some good bosses as well. But selling luxury cars, you deal with a lot of people in high places. And it becomes very obvious sometimes how many forget what it was like being 27 and still working your way up through the ranks. I would like to think that once I get where I’m going in life that I won’t treat people who are coming up as peons.

I hope if I’m lucky enough to be successful I can do the same. It’s important to get what you want out of life, but also to improve the lives of others where possible. Or at least not have a negative efffect.
